I'm the kind of girl that adores exploration and adventure.
Here all my thrills will be documented.
Please don't get me wrong. I'm not writing this post in a "Hah! Look what I've gotten to do in my life!" kind of way, but rather a way of expressing my grattitude for the unbelievable blessings that have graced me in my short sixteen and a half years.
- Roadtripped across South Africa. (My home country)
- Travelled across France.
- My mom and stepdad got married in Scotland.
- Travelled from Scotland through the England.
- Travelled from England to Holland via ferry. Unfortunately everyone besides for me was violently seasick - not so pleasant.
- Was neighbour to many a dangerous animal whilst living in a game reserve with my dad and brother.
- Petted baby lion cubs.
- Went to Sweden.
- Stayed on an island that we got trapped on for a night, after the tide came in sooner than we expected.
- Explored Portugal.
- Been subjected to far too many sub-zero degrees soccer matches.
- Got seriously ripped off by a little old lady in a coffee shop in Rotterdam.
- Jumped into a literally freezing lake in Sweden.
- Had a snowball fight in the French Alps.
- Visted the Louvre in Paris.
- Saw the Mona Lisa.
- Went up the Eiffel Tower.
- Saw the Arc de Triomph.
- Climbed Table Mountain.
- Went diamond panning next door to the Great Hole of Kimberly.
- Dived into a pool that was also home to dead snakes, dead frogs, small dead animals and about a million squirming tadpoles. Before you think I'm really weird, I didn't know about the graveyard until it was too late. Eugh.
- Cycled around the Finnish archipelago (islands) for 4 days - over 150km. Yes - be impressed.
- Offended old ladies at a Russian Orthodox Church in Estonia by sitting on their steps.
- Visited the culture Capitals of Europe 2011 - Turku (Finland) and Tallinn (Estonia)
- Went on a massive 9-storey monster ship from Finland to Estonia.
- Fell in love with Finland.
